Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm

Description:

This position manages and directs the company’s information technology (IT) operations, ensuring efficient and effective technical support service.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

The IT Manager supervises all employees in the IT department

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Plan, direct and control all technology functions of the company to provide access to optimal technology services and resources
  • Work with executive management to create IT budget, ensuring throughout fiscal year that budget is appropriately managed while meeting company technology needs
  • Work with department managers to determine technology needs, upgrades, and offer recommendations to ensure departmental levels have access to current technology
  • Create and implement IT policies and procedures to provide optimal security and safety of company IT assets
  • Work with executive team to research and recruit IT subcontractors to provide company with appropriate IT service
  • Respond to IT issues to determine most effective solution
  • Provide and maintain reliable and prompt attendance, with the ability to work the schedule dictated by business necessity.

PERIODIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment
  • Provide IT-related training as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, Computer Science or related field and
  • Five or more years work experience in managing an IT department
  • Master’s Degree in related field preferred

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

  • Proficient in the latest technology for IT systems and system management
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret business communication
  • Understanding of departmental budgeting and finance
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Possess knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, with demonstrated abilities in Excel and Word
  • Understand and maintain confidential information
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate in both written and oral forms
  • Ability to comprehend written and oral communication
  • Demonstrate high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to review and record data with high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing tasks and demands and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to establish relationships with clients, peers, and management
  • Ability to type/keyboard with minimal errors

Frequently requires:

  • Standing for up to 1 hour at a time
  • Use of color vision and ability to distinguish colors
  • Ability to communicate orally and hear/understand oral communication
  • Ability to utilize fine motor skills, reach and grasp, stoop and bend
  • Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull items up to 15 lbs.
  • Sitting for up to 2 hours at a time

 

Occasionally requires:

  • Standing for more than 1 hour at a time
  • Sitting for more than 2 hours
  • Moving from one workstation to another
