Family Fun in the Upper Midwest

The Wave Water Park and Hotel by EPIC Companies promises epic adventures not only for families, but for anyone who loves thrilling water rides, lazy rivers, and socializing at a swim-up bar!

With a diverse array of electrifying water attractions, people of all ages will love North Dakota’s largest indoor water park which opens in late 2024 just off 45th Street and I94 in West Fargo.

Ready to hit the water? At a massive 50,000 square feet, The Wave will feature four major slide attractions, including a drop slide combined with a toilet flush bowl, a tube slide, a tandem raft slide, and a short drop slide that plunges you eight feet into the water. Our NinjaCross attraction is modeled after the hit TV show “Ninja Warriors,” and our other activities keep the fun going in the pool with basketball hoops, a Lazy River with a wave component, a zero-depth entry splash pad, a play station with a bucket drop, and several small slides.

All this activity making you hungry? Grab something at our full-service snack bar that will serve hamburgers, hot dogs, soft drinks, and alcohol. If you’d like a little privacy or want to celebrate a special event, book one of our cabanas or our large, separate party room. And if you forget something, an on-site gift shop has you covered!

EPIC will manage the water park, and we expect to hire a full-time staff of at least 50 team members for permanent positions. Because safety will be a top priority at The Wave, some rides will require a minimum height. All our lifeguards will be Red Cross certified, and the aquatics management team will consist of experts in aquatics safety.

Connected to the water park via a skybridge is our attached, seven-story hotel with 125 guest rooms and suites to welcome not only out-of-towners, but also Metro staycationers. A third-party hospitality company will manage the franchise and hire its projected 50-75 team members. Free Wi-Fi, 50-inch TVs, microwave, minifridge, coffeemakers, and upgraded personal care items come standard for all guest rooms.

Conveniently located in the hotel’s lobby, a full-service restaurant and bar will offer something for everyone – from delicious burgers and sandwiches to full-course entrées featuring steaks and seafood. An array of cocktails will be at your fingertips as you sit back, relax, and enjoy the night.

But you don’t have to stay with us to enjoy the water park. Use a day pass or stay at one of the other hotels within walking distance. And when you need a break from the water, the surrounding area is bursting with nearby attractions like the Red River Zoo, The Curling Club, Southwest Youth Ice Arena, and the Tharaldson Baseball Fields. Many food outlets are just moments away, including Starbucks, Applebee’s, Sonic, Slim Chickens, and The Tavern Grill.

And last, but not least, a 500-car parking ramp will be connected to the hotel and water park via skywalks – especially nice during the North Dakota winter months! So, no matter the season, come join us for some fun at The Wave!
