Keep your eyes on the lookout for sundogs

Caused by sunlight hitting ice crystals suspended in the air, sundogs are most commonly seen during the cold winter months. They appear about 22 degrees to the left or right of the sun and can be colored like a rainbow or white. The flat land in Fargo-West Fargo-Moorhead, makes the area a perfect place to look for sundogs when the sun is rising and setting near the horizon.
