Downtown Perham apartment development scheduled for completion this fall

All eyes have been on the large apartment complex under construction in downtown Perham ever since the old Bongards Creameries retail store was demolished in spring 2022 to make way for the new building. Now, the development, located along East Main Street, is nearing completion with an expected opening date of either late October or early November.

“We really worked hard to get it where it needs to be,” said McKenzy Braaten, chief communications officer at EPIC Companies — the firm behind JP Place’s development. “There’s a couple of other things that are still left to do that we’re hoping to wrap up here in the next month.”

Those things include some signage both inside and out as well as some other finishing touches. Once complete, the building will have underground parking, a fitness room, a community room, a patio on the top floor and more. Braaten also mentioned that the residential units have modern finishes with open kitchen floor plans and views.
