Coffee Shop Opening in Pioneer Place

July 11, 2019

The smell of fresh-brewed coffee is coming to the Pioneer Plaza in West Fargo. The mixed-use building is already home to offices, homes, and shops – so it’s a natural fit for a coffee shop location.

As part of the ownership, Skyler and Dex, join It Takes Two to discuss the significant change for their business. You see, Thunder Coffee has been around for a while, but as a pop-up shop. Bringing their talents to events and locations like the Red River Market will be the first time that Thunder Coffee moves into a brick-and-mortar location.

Designing, building, and stocking are all on the list as they near an opening in September. Education is also something important to them. Want to know why your coffee has the appearance of an oil spill? Dex chimes in and say it all has to do with the roasting and how the oils are maintained from beginning to end. Poured through a metal strainer leaves more oils and fats (that aren’t bad – they just produce another type of flavor) versus a paper filter which removes more oil as it gets poured into a copy.

Look for Thunder Coffee at their new location or follow them on FACEBOOK to watch the progress.
