EPIC Companies to build new hybrid-style hotels in Fargo, Grand Forks and Minot

FARGO — EPIC Companies is starting a new hybrid-style hotel chain called I M A G I N E By EPIC, with the first three locations planned for Fargo, Grand Forks and Minot, the company announced Thursday, June 15.

The initial I M A G I N E By EPIC hotels will support sites now in development, including:

• EOLA by EPIC in Fargo (which is also where The Wave by EPIC Waterpark Resort will be located).
• The Beacon by EPIC in downtown Grand Forks.
• The Tracks by EPIC in Minot, across from Trinity Hospital.

Construction is expected to start in early 2024, with plans to open the hotels in summer 2026, EPIC said in a news release. The hotels will be mixed-use, with 110 to 140 rooms per hotel (or about 28 rooms per floor in a five-floor configuration).
The top floors will have upscale living options, though it has not been determined if they will be condominiums or apartments, said McKenzy Braaten, chief communications officer for EPIC Companies.
